Hi Jasmine - "What is the biggest elephant at the Park?"

Our biggest elephant here is Shrinuan, and from the picture you can see that she is probably twice as high as a man!! She is about 50 years old. Elephants sometimes live to be 90 years old, but like humans they need to keep good health and be looked after. Unfortunately she is blind, so needs a friend to help her. But she can smell the food very well, and take it out of our hands.

Elephants pick up their food by wrapping their trunk around the object and then putting it to the side of their mouths, where they can use their tongue to push it into their mouths. This picture shows her wrapping her trunk around some bananas.
