Operation Toilet

One of the problems in Peru is cleanliness - you must be cautious all the time - it is very easy to contract salmonella, giardia, or some other "nasty". So we are particularly careful about keeping our house as clean as possible.

The other thing is that the Peru sewerage system is such that toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet, or it will clog the system - so it is placed in a plastic bin found by the
toilet.

So to be extra careful we brought all the facilities to keep our facilities clean - even to the extent of bringing our own disinfectants, etc. Like the one to place under the toilet bowl rim!!

All was going well until the cage holding the disinfectant came apart during the placement. Being our only on
e it was considered necessary to recover, and replace the cage, and continue with the installation.

This proved quite difficult with rubber gloves, and a very awkward assembly. In the end the operation was successful - but it took three people!!
