Our House

The building provided for volunteers is a large two storey (with an extra area like an attic) with three separate self contained living areas.

(Left - Maz in the downstairs kitchen)

(Right - the downstairs living area)

We are divided into these three areas, each with separate bathroom, kitchen and living/dining area. Although divided up,
there is still an amount of sharing - like kitchen utensils, the solitary microwave and the odd times when the showers or hot water don't work properly! There is a supply of the local copied DVDs and each "house" has its own TV.

(Left - the entrance area, with the Peru's Challenge at the far end, and the entrance to the lower level house - where I am this time)

(Left - the downstairs bathroom - we have a gas shower - but it is still a trick to get a hot shower)

(Right - my bedroom - one of four in the downstairs "house" - compact, but OK - we have baskets to keep our clothing in)

(Left - the outside patio area - with clothes lines, and some nice sun in the afternoon)

(Right - another bedroom in the downstair's "house")

(Left - another view of the outside patio area)

(Left - the washing area - for those that are really keen - many of us take our laundry round the corner to the Lavendaria, which provides a wash service for about Aus doll 2 a kilo for next day service - and it even comes back folded!!)

(Right - the backyard patio with the upstairs houses on the right)

(Right - the outside store room, where we keep all the school requisites)
